For centuries man and nature have shaped the agave landscape, which is now recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The Tequila Route surrounds the volcano and runs through the municipalities of El Arenal, Amatitán, Tequila, Magdalena, Teuchitlán, Etzatlán, Ahualulco and San Juanito.
Mundo Cuervo® and Jose Cuervo Express® are part of the Tequila Route, which began as a sustainable tourism project funded by the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank, and by the Jose Cuervo Foundation.
