We seek to promote different aspects of art, science and education in children, youth and adults, to awaken their interest and contribute to the integral development of society. We also want to contribute to the harmonious coexistence between people from different backgrounds.

History of the building

History

The Juan Beckmann Gallardo Cultural Center opened its doors on December 1, 2018. It was conceived with the purpose of offering both the community of the magical town of Tequila, as well as visitors in Jalisco, a cultural space where the wonderful heritage of Mexico can be appreciated and valued. In addition to being a meeting place where exhibitions and cultural activities such as workshops, lectures, musical and literary presentations, among other things, are held. 

 The building, located in the Historic Center of Tequila, is a project by architect Jorge Loyzaga built in 2017.

 It is inspired by the architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries, especially the Colegio de San Ignacio de Loyola Vizcaínas, located in Mexico City. The fusion of different techniques and styles pays homage to our country's viceregal era.

 The artistry in the wood, quarry and ironwork that enhance the architecture of the Cultural Center stands out.

 Concerned about the environment, the building has solar panels, thermal energy collectors and a wastewater treatment plant to be reused for garden irrigation.

 The space has beautiful gardens, plants of different species and beautiful fountains that make up the landscape of the Cultural Center.
