Amongst a set of stories where we discover amazing landscapes, beautiful towns, we listen to a big variety of songs with its famous mariachis, its delicious gastronomy and we fell in love with a big explosion of color in each of its corners. And all this, bathed by a pleasant and intense touch of tequila, because Mexico is synonymous with the best tequila of the world. And what better way than enjoying it in the municipality named just as this popular drink? What? A tribute to culture and art The Festival goes beyond a tribute to tequila; the Jose Cuervo Foundation has been responsible of organizing since April 2004 the Agave Cultural Festival, now renamed Tequila Cultural and Gastronomic Festival. It is an event that besides celebrating Mexican music, allows showing all the people coming from all over the world the best of the artistic creation of Mexico and a so many cultural activities. This year, the event will take place in outstanding places of Tequila as the street and Jose Cuervo Forum, from 27 to 29 October 2017, concerts by prominent musicians such as the unequaled Mariachi Vargas of Tecatitlan, workshops, music, dance, theater and a splendid gastronomic exhibition. "At the beginning the project was a major importer of international artists, nowadays, the situation has changed since the majority of the cast participating in the shows is purely local; graduated students from the Tequila School of Music, project that is also sponsored by the Jose Cuervo Foundation. Mexico is full of talent, but education is needed to strengthen that aspect. I wanted to provide them with quality artistic education, but I didn´t expect to see the impressive development that each of our students have demonstrated, "says Ercilia Gómez Maqueo, Cultural Director of Mundo Cuervo. The Jose Cuervo Foundation and the Juan Beckmann Gallardo Cultural Center have not only opened the horizon of more than 600 students and their families through music. This foundation is firmly committed with the talents in a variety of artistic disciplines like drawing and painting. Also, it gives them the possibility of having English lessons, which represents a key to the internationalization of their skills. The 2017 Tequila Cultural and Gastronomic Festival brings together three days of many different activities where you can also admire its impressive factories and agave fields just 60 kilometers from the great city of Guadalajara. A place where legend, tradition, and culture taste like tequila, the authentic, the one which we like. We are waiting for you!
