The pueblo of Tequila is sixty kilometres from Guadalajara in the direction of Tepic, Nogales and Puerto Vallarta. You can go by toll-road or the old highway, federal highway 15, that goes through the towns of La Venta, la Cruz del Astillero, El Arenal and Amatitan.

The trip takes about an hour and provides at the same time the opportunity to enjoy the fields of blue agave as well as the 3,000 meter high Tequila volcano. In 2006, this beautiful landscape was included on UNESCO`s list of the world`s cultural patrimony for the beauty and importance of the landscape.

Upon arriving in Tequila, follow the signs that say Mundo Cuervo. Go past the church on Calle Sixto Gorjon and continue straight, passing by the entrance that has the Jose Cuervo sign and then turn right on Calle Ramon Corona. On your left at the following corner is Calle Jose Cuervo and the reception area of Mundo Cuervo. After dropping off your passengers continue down the street and turn left at the end and look for a blue entry to the parking lot. Mundo Cuervo has free parking for its visitors.

It is also possible to travel from Guadalajara to Tequila by bus lines which you catch at one of the bus terminals in the city. These are somewhat more adventurous options for those who prefer to travel with the locals. There will be a number of stops and the trip lasts 2 hours from the Central Nueva and the Antigua Central, and one hour from the Zapopan terminal.
